Starck 1 – From Original to Iconic
Inspired by buckets, pails and washbasins, Philippe Starck created the Starck 1 design series together with Duravit in 1994: A completely groundbreaking, handcrafted bathroom that still works today and is considered an absolute classic for your bathroom. Whether it's a sink, toilet, urinal, bathroom furniture or a bathtub, the French designer's sense of form and function has earned him a place of honor in the history of bathroom design.

Which Starck 1 Products Are Right For Me?
Starck 1 bathroom furniture: The famous Starck barrel
The famous Starck barrel in Duravit's Starck 1 series takes on the ancient shape of a bucket and a bowl. This designer piece is available in a variety of matte and high-gloss painted finishes as well as real wood veneers. The frosted glass of the shelf insert with chrome-plated railing inside the Starck barrel makes the optional, glare-free LED lighting an especially effective feature. The light automatically switches on and off when the doors are opened and closed.
With the revised Starck barrel can for the 30th anniversary, the handles can now also be customized in 5 different finishes. A total of 4 colors are available for the sink: white or black ceramic, each of which can be either glossy or matte. With so many options, the iconic vanity unit will fit right into almost any bathroom - whether in matching colors or impressively contrasting tones.

The Starck barrel is even more elegant than before thanks to our innovative c-bonded technology. This technology creates a precise edge between the characteristic base and the sink, which further underscores the overall aesthetic. This process results in a practically seamless connection between the two. The ceramics are finished with our HygieneGlaze® Plus glaze, which combines the highest standards for hygiene with easy cleaning.

Starck 1 vanities and sinks
You will also find a wide selection of Starck 1 countertop sinks in various sizes and shapes: square, round, iconic. The countertop sinks present a wide range of possible combinations – the connections between the console and the Duravit countertop sinks from the Starck 1 series are a notable highlight. Starck 1 bathroom sinks with an overflow are supplied with an overflow clip in chrome. All models are optionally available with our WonderGliss coating.
Starck 1 toilets and urinals: Clean lines and timeless beauty
Clean lines and timeless beauty are united in Starck 1 series toilets, resulting in an extraordinary design. Our product range includes a matching top-mounted cistern for the Starck 1 wall-mounted toilet. Starck 1 toilet seats with a slow-close mechanism are available for greater comfort. A little tap is all that is needed and the toilet seat lowers gently and closes silently. As a perfect addition to your guest bathroom, the Starck 1 range also includes a urinal, which is available with or without a lid.

The Starck 1 countertop sinks come in a variety of combinations: A prime example of this is the high-quality, solid-wood console from the XSquare series, which has striking chrome profiles and elegant finish options. The Starck T accessories line by Philippe Starck is a perfect match for the design of Starck 1 in terms of the look. The fluid transition from the round base to the geometric "T" shape is reminiscent of the branching shape of a tree. A design element that builds upon the recurring iconic signature of the series.
Starck Slimline shower trays
The low edge height of 3/4" (20 mm) makes the Starck Slimline sanitary acrylic shower tray not only appear flatter, but also lighter and more delicate – the perfect complement to Starck 1. The shower trays are available with our special anti-slip coating to provide you with an even safer footing. There is something for every bathroom: big and small, square and rectangular.

Starck bathtubs are made from sanitary acrylic and are timeless classics that will fit right into every bathroom.
