D.1 makes an aesthetic statement in the bathroom. Designed by Matteo Thun and Antonio Rodriguez, the new faucet series presents state-of-the-art technology in a new, iconic form. The fluid transition from a cylindrical basic shape to an accented, flat spout adds a very interesting, creative touch.
D.1 Basin faucets
The single-lever handle on the right of the two-hole D.1 faucet mirrors the form of the flat outlet, creating a clear and harmonious layout.
D.1 and D.1z
The D.1z model offers a knurled rotating handle as an alternative to the lever, enabling optimum positioning, especially in conjunction with wash bowls and consoles.
The intuitively operated electronic control unit D.1e. The temperature display changes from light blue through to blue, then to orange and right up to red. Additional comfort-enhancing functions, for example water outlet, hygienic flush, thermal disinfection, and scald protection, can be configured individually.
High-tech and emotion
Soft yet still sharp, with surfaces in Chrome or Matt Black, D.1 achieves a unique balance between hygiene and beauty, between high-tech and emotion.
Change is everpresent but it has a special effect in one place: the bathroom. Because this is where we wake up and switch off. Where we clean ourselves, recharge our batteries, reinvent ourselves – every day.
Matteo Thun was born in Bozen (South Tyrol) in 1952. After studying at the Oskar Kokoschka Academy in Salzburg, and at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, in 1981, he was one of the co-founders of the legendary Memphis Group. Its members questioned the pure functionality of design objects.
