Italian architect and industrial designer Sergio Asti originally designed the Profiterole as a table lamp in 1968. A two-shell system that creates a cloud-like effect, the lamp features a transparent body made of fiberglass, accented by a black rubber ring. A true design object, the lamp is regarded as an ideal example of the elegant, organic creations of the Italian post-war period.
