The striking, narrow ceramic rim features throughout the programme, as shown here in the surface-mounted washbasin, supported by the matching vanity units in various widths. The unusual feature of the toilet is the flat seat and cover combination, available either with or without SoftClose technology. The toilet is available in wall-mounted, floor-standing and back-to-wall versions, and also as a one-piece toilet. The wallmounted and floor-standing toilets can also be combined with the SensoWash® DuraStyle shower-toilet seat for hygienic and refreshing cleansing with water after using the toilet. The ceramic and seat merge visually to create a harmonious, elegant unit.
INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS ALSO FEATURE IN THE BATHTUBS AND FURNITURE.
The bathtub’s trademark is the characteristic upstand on the back edge of the tub: it creates a sense of order, since the shampoo etc. simply disappear behind it, and also can be used as a support to make it easier to get in and out.
The furniture washbasin in combination with matching vanity units and furniture accessories made from real wood show how to design a warm and practical bathroom without cramming it full of furniture.
Matteo Thun is an internationally recognised designer and architect based in Milan. He designed pioneering projects like the Side Hotel, the Vigilius Mountain Resort, the Hugo Boss Headquarters in Switzerland and the interior of the Slow-Food-Chain Vapiano. Together with the Spanish designer Antonio Rodriguez, partner at Matteo Thun & Partners, he created product designs for customers like, inter alia, Zumtobel, Illy, Belux, Alessi, Bulgari, WMF, Flos, Swatch and Artemide.
HAPPY D.2

PRESERVE AND RENEW: RE-INTERPRETING AN ARCHETYPE.
With its clear-cut, architectural design, Happy D. has written bathroom history and thrilled bathroom users all over the world. The new Happy D.2 is elegant, versatile and timelessly modern. The best proof of this is the washbasin: it is available as a furniture washbasin with matching vanity unit whose elegantly curved fronts complement the curves of the washbasin, as a surface-mounted washbasin on consoles and as a classic pedestal or half-pedestal washbasin. In the model with radii at the wall, the basin seems to lift visually from the wall, creating an almost floating effect – and this sense of weightlessness features throughout the series. The furniture wash - basin sits on a height-adjustable metal console that also serves as a towel holder.
Feminine, chic and archetypal. Happy D.2 brings a new elegance into the bathroom. This is achieved thanks to the fine radii of the rounded corners that feature throughout the bathroom programme – and that give Happy D.2 its distinctive, archetypal design.
X-LARGE

THE ART OF OFFERING LOTS OF STORAGE SPACE WITHOUT SEEMING OVERBEARING.
The name says it all: offering plenty of extra storage space and extra elegance, the X-Large furniture series is popular with all pragmatic bathroom users with instinctive good taste. And they can now develop this even further with the X-Large series, which Duravit has completely re-interpreted for 2013. With elegant proportions and exquisite design, X-Large creates a sense of weightlessness, thus reflecting the spirit of the times. The super-flat consoles are 12+ 12 mm thick. The lower panel is set back to reinforce the floating effect. The vanity units feature the same “trick”: the resulting shadow gap between the panel and body lends the furniture a lightweight appearance, which is supported by the narrow, elegant aluminium handles. Furniture in various widths and two depths offers maximum flexibility, whilst eight different finishes ensure maximum individuality. The mirror cabinet with LED technology also comes in the matching finish and is optionally available with the new sound system.
STARCK

SMALL CHANGES MAKE AN EXCITING DIFFERENCE: STARCK 2 RE-DESIGNED.
Anyone interested in premium bathroom design in the medium-range price category cannot fail to be impressed by Starck 2 by Philippe Starck. In 2013, the affordable classic has been re-designed: tiny modifications have been made and sophisticated details added to washbasins, washing bowls, surface-mounted washbasins, as well as to the Starck shower trays and bathtubs; this gives the series a fresh new look, a new feeling of lightness and a new modernity. A good example of this is the apparently circular surface-mounted washbasin:
at first glance, the bowl appears circular, however, on closer inspection, it is revealed to be slightly oval. A tiny nuance that gives the form an organic, flowing character. In the shower trays, the rim height has been reduced to 20 mm and thus appears not only flatter but also more elegant and lightweight. Thanks to optimised radii, the quadrant-shaped shower trays offer greater compatibility with international standards. The outstanding detail of the bathtubs is the sloping backrest that opens into a prominent, comfortable neckrest. The re-designed products stand in perfect harmony with the modified toilets and bidets – for completely homogeneous bathroom design with Starck 2. The Starck range of bathroom furniture is the ideal complement.
