Duravti acrylic care agent
Contents
1 bottle of acrylic care agent, 50 ml
1 tin of grinding paste, 50 ml
1 tin of polishing paste, 50 ml
1 polishing cloth
1 wet abrasive paper in various grits
(600/800/1200)
Elimination of scratches and scuff marks
Clean scratches and scuff marks with a cleaning agent. Deeper scratches or burn marks should first of all be sanded down with wet abrasive paper, progressing from coarse paper (600 grit) to a fine paper (1200 grit). Always remove residual ground material from the surface with a wet cloth before proceeding to the finer abrasive paper.
Use the enclosed grinding paste and the provided cloth to hone the material. The bath can be polished to high gloss with the polishing paste and a cloth.
This may require several attempts.
Do not use an electronic polishing machine with a polishing wheel. Here the polished surface could get too hot. This can lead to tensions and flaws in the material. Cleaning the bath with acrylic care agent
Apply DURAVIT acrylic care agent to the wet acrylic surface and and tap fittings with a cotton wool or a cleaning cloth, let it sit for around 5 to 10 minutes, then wash off with warm water. Finally polish with a cleaning cloth.

Can impact damage (perfume bottle falling into washbasin or similar) be repaired?
-
No, the appearance will remain permanently impaired.
Material and production
-
Can a ceramic surface alter once it has been manufactured?
-
No. A ceramic item cannot be altered after firing without applying considerable external forces.
-
There is a hole of approx. 6 mm in size on the side of the floor-standing toilet (cascade or washout-flushing variant)?
-
This is a vent hole and thus relates to the production process. Behind this hole is a cavity from which the air has to escape during the firing process.
-
What are the properties of the ceramic material?
-
High mechanical strength, unchanging material, non-ageing, glass-hard sealed surface.
UV-resistant, heat- and cold-resistant, colourfast, corrosion-proof, resistant to fire and burning cigarettes, abrasion- and scratch-proof (EXCEPTION: Wondergliss), dimensionally stable, odourless, tasteless.
Cleaning and Care
-
Cracks / hairlines on the ceramic surface?
-
Metal abrasions are often identified as cracks. On toilets without wondergliss you can remove it with abrasive.
-
How can stubborn dirt or scale be removed from ceramic surfaces?
-
Allow the cleaning agent to soak in. Simply wet the affected areas with cleaning liquid (soaking a cloth with liquid where appropriate) and leave for a few hours. The dirt is then often very easy to remove.
Foam-type cleaners have the advantage that they adhere to smooth and vertical surfaces longer than liquid cleaners. Foam can also be sprayed directly under the WC rim. This reliably removes scale, bacteria and germs.
-
Is water harmless to bathroom furniture items?
-
Yes, furniture items are suitable for the bathroom and will not be affected by normal levels of moisture. Stagnant water on wood (melamine) countertops should be wiped off.
After taking a shower or a bath we recommend briefly wiping the furniture down with a dry cloth and airing the room thoroughly - by means of an extractor fan when there are no windows.

My WC-seat looks yellowish.
-
To ensure lasting satisfaction with your Duravit WC-seat fitting/cover for urinal, you should observe the folowing points carefully:
1) Clean the fitting, including the hinges, regularly with warm water and a mild detergent. Afterward rub dry.
2) Do not use any caustic or scouring agents
3) Protect the fitting with a thin coating of colourless furniture polishing
4) The fitting and hinges must not come into contact with WC cleansing agents. When using WC-cleansing agents, please lift up the lid and the seat/cover for urinal and do not put them down again until the cleansing agent has been completely rinsed from the bowl/urinal, since the vapours from the cleanser may attack hte surface of the fitting.

Tough lime tracks on urinals or toilets?Complained in combination with the pursue of water very often.
-
In every water, lime exists naturally. This lime can landfill on the ceramic due to evaporation. Only little at first, but with dirt and minerals of the water, you will see the landfills by and by.
The foulings of days or months, you can't remove with one wisp. We recommend to put a cloth with cleanser on the area concerned for a few nights. The confirmed lime will be soften and you can abrade it with a toilet brush. The products without WonderGliss, could also be abraded of lime by an abrasive cleanser or razor blade.
You can also abrade foulings in the siphon, if you act the cleanser for a longer time. Before that, you have to blurt the water out of the siphon with the toilet brush.
