It's all true. A castle becomes a hotel. Not an unusual career move. This one bears the name of Baron Münchhausen, known in Europe as a cheerful teller of extremely tall stories. The handicap of having been empty for almost 20 years was overcome in the process of carefully converting what used to be Europe's only pineapple plantation into a golf hotel. There weren't any lavish washrooms in the old days. The new ones exude an archaic sense of calm that might also have been imaginable back in the days of tubs and stone basins. And the 800m2 spa area, complete with an extra-long pool, is just perfect for relaxing.
