Q-cooning. Conceiving contemporary temporary living in a new way, rather than succumbing to the sophistry of a borrowed approach to design: the architects Graft have reinvented cocooning for the 21st century.

They have looked at the best of the 60s rebels, such as the Danish designer Verner Panton and his psychedelic dwelling caves, and gone one better. In the lobby, for example, where glowing red walls flow and meld into the floor. And in the rooms: a brilliant folding creation consisting of bath, wardrobe and bed. In modern dwellings, watering hole and sleeping place are rarely found in such pleasing proximity. It makes you want to sleep with your eyes open. Q-cooning: a new style? No, just the result of crossing intelligence, imagination and a feeling of security.
