Ready for Takeoff. Airports are generally deemed hectic processing machines, but this prejudice does not apply to Madrid’s Barajas Airport! Barajas Airport's new Terminal, T4, is like a brightly colored butterfl y fi t with roofs that give the building “wings.” Adding to this vibrant effect are the roofs’ colored columns, which, like dancing acrobats, catch the attention of airline passengers and passersby alike, who will spend their wait lost in astonishment and reverie over this bold structure.
This concrete edifi ce sweeps 20 m into the air, encompassing a total of three storeys – a feat large enough to make Terminal 4 one of the most courageous in the world.
