Successful participation at the world's leading sanitaryware trade fair ISH in Frankfurt opens up good prospects for Duravit
The world's leading sanitaryware trade fair ISH in Frankfurt, which took place from 6 - 10 March 2007 was for Duravit t h e mega-event of the year. Preparations for the presentation of the many new products on the 1,000 m² trade fair stand had been underway for months.
2,392 companies presented the latest trends and innovations in the international sanitaryware and heating sector to the 215,000 visitors: a rise in the number of visitors of twelve per cent compared to the ISH 2005.
The successful interplay of design and innovative technology was the key theme of Duravit's presentation of the latest bathroom trends "from jeans to dinner jacket". At the "jeans" end of the scale, the new D-code range for the first time presents a complete design programme in a price segment where so far mostly only no-name products have abounded: washbasins, toilets, baths, furniture, accessories – in a choice of measurements and for every conceivable room situation.
At the other end of the scale, the Vero washbasin programme with its clear-cut, rectangular shape is already highly popular and has now been complemented by a new toilet and bidet as well as a whole range of baths.
Spa products such as the new Blue Moon tub with external dimensions of 140x140 cm and a circular water pool inside offer maximum pool enjoyment. Seadream on the other hand is the perfect solution for all those who are looking to combine maximum bathing comfort with a more-than-generous showering zone in the minimum of space.
Finally, a tap pillar in a welcoming wood finish is a creative solution to the question of tap fittings for free-standing baths.
The new e-mood range is a bathroom furniture programme and a lighting concept in one. The programme, which is equally suited to new bathrooms or renovation projects, takes all the lighting requirements in the bathroom into consideration and integrates the whole room. This both opens up new design possibilities in the bathroom and at the same time introduces the most advanced intelligent technology to the wet cell of days gone by.
A number of additions to existing ranges completed the array of new products:
Duravit has extended the "Bathroom_Foster" range to include a console basin and an undercounter basin.
The innovative Sundeck wellbeing concept is now even more versatile with new built-in versions and bigger free-standing models.
The additions to Starck 3 are bringing a breath of fresh air to the "poor cousins" of the sanitary world: more luxury is offered by new toilet models with special comfort widths or a five-centimetre higher sitting position using the existing connections. When it comes to urinals, Starck 3 will in future offer an "eye-catcher" that, in addition, is easy to clean and uses only a small amount of water.
Franz Kook, Management Board Chairman of Duravit AG, was more than satisfied with the outcome of the trade fair: "Conversations with customers at the ISH were all extremely positive.
There is an excellent mood within the sanitaryware sector. Thanks to our professional trade fair presentation and the new products on show, Duravit once again succeeded in setting new trends and was the name on the lips of customers from all over the world. The best possible conditions for looking to the future with confidence."
